Contract Detroit

Terms of Service

Effective date: October 20, 2026

Contract Detroit, operated by C4 Holding Company LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), provides the directory and marketplace at contractdetroit.com. These Terms explain the rules for using our website and account features. Read them with our Privacy Policy. Questions or reports can be sent to info@incomechecker.com.

1. What Contract Detroit does

Contract Detroit helps people discover local professionals, publish professional profiles and services, post projects, exchange proposals and communicate. One account can both hire professionals and offer services.

We provide a platform for making connections. We do not perform, supervise or insure construction or other professional work, and a listing does not establish an employment, agency or partnership relationship with us. We are not a party to the service agreement you separately make with another user.

At this launch, we do not process project payments, hold escrow, issue contractor licenses, provide identity or background checks, or offer a project-dispute adjudication service. Business-listing claims are not available. Some unfinished features may appear in development materials; those materials do not make the features available or create a service commitment.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter an agreement to create an account. If you act for a business, you must have authority to represent it. Provide accurate account and business information, keep it current, protect your login credentials and tell us if you believe your account has been compromised.

Do not impersonate another person or business, use an account without permission, or misrepresent ownership of a listing. You are responsible for your own use of the service. Report suspected unauthorized use promptly so we can investigate.

3. Hiring and providing services

Users decide whom to contact, whether to accept a proposal and what work to agree to. A proposal, message, directory position or platform status does not mean Contract Detroit guarantees a booking, a contractor's qualifications or the outcome of a project. Any agreement formed between users is their agreement; a platform proposal status alone is not a Contract Detroit work contract or payment guarantee.

Before work begins, the parties should agree directly on the scope, price, schedule, materials, permits, insurance, payment arrangements, changes and cancellation terms. Professionals must hold the licenses and permits required for their particular work and comply with applicable laws. Clients should independently confirm applicable licenses, insurance, references and authority to perform the work. Michigan licensing resources are available through Michigan LARA.

Information supplied by users can be incomplete or outdated. A profile, photo, credential field or badge is not a platform endorsement or a guarantee of licensing, insurance, identity, safety or workmanship. Do not represent yourself as verified by Contract Detroit unless we have expressly provided a defined, current verification process.

Do not post private access codes, financial account details or sensitive identification documents. Share the exact location of a private property only when necessary with an appropriate recipient. The site is not an emergency service.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit, such as profile descriptions, service listings, project details, photos and messages. Submit only content you own or have permission to use, including permission from people whose private information or property is shown. Do not publish a customer's private information without authorization.

You give us a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to store, reproduce, format and display your content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure and provide the service according to your publication settings and the Privacy Policy. This includes allowing our hosting and technical providers to process it for those purposes. This permission does not authorize using private messages as public advertising or selling your photos as stock images.

Public content may be indexed by search engines or copied by other people. Removing it from our site cannot guarantee immediate removal of third-party copies. Retention and deletion of content are described in the Privacy Policy; we do not promise that signing out deletes your account or messages.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use Contract Detroit to:

Nothing in these Terms prohibits an honest review, a lawful complaint, reporting suspected unlawful conduct or exercising a right protected by law.

6. Moderation and availability

We may investigate reports, request corrections, restrict content or suspend access when reasonably needed to address fraud, unlawful activity, a violation of these Terms, a security threat or harm to users. Where practicable, we will explain a restriction and provide a way to request review through info@incomechecker.com. We may act immediately where the circumstances warrant it. We do not promise to inspect every listing, photo or message.

Features can change or become unavailable for maintenance, security or operational reasons. We do not guarantee continuous access, message delivery or that another user will respond. Keep your own copies of important agreements and records.

7. Charges and future paid features

Contract Detroit does not currently charge platform listing fees, memberships or commissions, and does not collect payment for projects. Payments you arrange directly with a professional are subject to your agreement with that professional.

If we introduce paid platform features, we will present the price, billing terms, cancellation and refund terms before you purchase. These Terms do not authorize a future charge or enrollment in a subscription. Any paid placement must be identified as advertising or sponsorship; buying visibility will not establish that a professional is licensed or endorsed.

8. Third-party services and links

The site may link to other websites or services. Their terms and practices govern your use of them. A link does not establish that we endorse the destination. How our technical providers handle information is addressed in the Privacy Policy.

9. Ending use, removal requests and reports

You can stop using Contract Detroit at any time. To request account deletion, report unauthorized content or raise a concern, contact info@incomechecker.com. You can permanently delete your account from Settings after confirming DELETE MY ACCOUNT. This removes your managed sign-in account and its associated application records, including profiles, uploads, services, projects, proposals, messages and notifications. Deletion cannot recover copies held by recipients or immediately erase provider backups. We handle requests as described in the Privacy Policy and as required by applicable law.

For an intellectual-property report, identify the content, its location, your contact information and the rights you believe are affected. We may request information needed to evaluate the report. Do not send sensitive documents through a public listing or chat.

10. Service limitations and legal rights

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we provide the platform as available, without a promise that it will meet every need or that all user information is accurate. We do not warrant the services performed by another user. These limitations do not excuse our own obligations under applicable law or remove consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses caused by another user's independent conduct, work or failure to pay, or indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform. This provision does not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for our own fraud or intentional misconduct.

11. Disagreements and changes

If you have a concern about Contract Detroit, contact info@incomechecker.com so we can try to resolve it. This does not prevent you from contacting a regulator or exercising available legal remedies. Disputes about project work should first be raised with the other party; Contract Detroit does not currently provide binding project-dispute resolution.

We will update the effective date when these Terms change. For material changes affecting existing accounts, we will provide appropriate notice through the service or another available contact method and obtain agreement where required. Changes will not retroactively authorize new charges or waive rights concerning an existing dispute.

If part of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by law. These Terms do not take away protections that apply to you under applicable law.
